Rain is perfect, the sound it creates, the after smell, that refreshing feeling. In my opinion rain is the best weather, yes it can limit most outside activities but its all worth it when you are sitting outside on a chair and just living the moment. It depends on where you are, in some places this rain will turn to snow or the snow will turn to rain.
Rain also creates beautiful pictures, it can turn a city to look very gloomy and mysterious, and it can cover a whole landscape just with the clouds. But.. there is some terrible downsides, a hurricane can occur if you live close to the sea, or some heavy rainstorms that can destroy trees, houses. Etc… Even with all of these downsides, I think this weather is something special, at least here in Colorado.
