Easter usually happens on the first week of April because it is one of the principal holidays, or feasts, of Christianity. This day marks the Resurrection of Jesus. This event happened three days after his death after being crucified. Also, for many Christian churches, Easter is the end to a season called Lent of fasting and penitence.

Many families get together during the day to celebrate Easter Day. In this celebration families cook food and have an Easter egg hunt with the younger kids. To prepare for the Easter egg hunt adults buy Easter eggs and fill them with candy and sometimes they also may add money in the bigger eggs and call them the “golden eggs”. Before the Easter egg hunt the adults go out to hide the eggs in different places while the children are inside in a place where they can not peak.
