What is water fasting?

Water fasting is when a person does not eat and drinks only water. It has become more popular in recent years as a quick way to lose weight. Studies show that water fasting could have health benefits. It may lower the risk of some chronic diseases and stimulate autophagy. (A process that helps your body break down and recycle old parts of your cells.)

Although water fasting is a quick way to lose weight, water fasting is not without risks. It has side effects such as; low blood pressure, dehydration, gastrointestinal upset, musculoskeletal pain, especially if done incorrectly. Water fasting is a quick and easy way to lose weight if done correctly!
