On June 24, 2022 abortion was banned in 44 states. The U.S. Supreme Court ruled over the rights and overturned Roe v Wade.
Depending on the state, at the age of 21 years old you can adopt a child, as long as you are financially stable. Say, I get pregnant at the age of 16 do you really think I am capable of taking care of that child without struggling? How are you going to tell in order to adopt a child I need to be a certain age because of financial problems, but if I get pregnant at a young age I need to have that baby? Really shows the morals you have and how much you actually care about the babies well being.
As of 2022, over 400,000 children are in foster care in the U.S. 114,556 children are waiting to be adopted. Thinking that putting a child up for adoption is the better option than having an abortion can not even be rationalized. Children who grow up in foster homes are almost twice as likely to suffer from mood disorders, and are more likely to kill themselves. Over one-forth has spent at least one night in jail and over 15 percent has convicted a crime.

Miscarriages are a real thing and happen. When a miscarriage happens, the woman is already going through enough but being told you have to keep a dead baby in your womb is terrible. Imagine waking up everyday carrying a dead baby. Not only that, but having to carry that dead baby means giving birth to something that is not even alive. Instead of having the rights to your body like you should, people ignore the real issue. Giving birth to a dead baby puts the woman at risk for her own life, now you have a dead baby and woman.
Counterpoint argument: In 30 and up states if a pregnant woman is killed it is considered a double homicide because the unborn baby has a right to live, abortion should be considered murder. People who are brain dead (in comas) aren’t considered alive. If the state allows, the latest you can get an abortion is 24 weeks into pregnancy, nothing has really developed yet. An embryo has not yet developed a heartbeat, at around 6 weeks the heart starts to develop, but at that point the heart as we know does not exist said by Dr. Ian Frazer.

Banning abortions does not stop abortions, it stops safe abortions.
