Excited for Christmas? What do you do during the holidays do you celebrate anything other than Christmas such as Hannukah, Kwanzaa or any other holiday?
This year I will be celebrating Christmas with my family. We really wanted to cut down a tree again this year, but it has been a crazy year, so we sadly did not have time, but we got a great one yesterday on the 14th at Home Depot. It is a beautiful tree and looks phenomenal in our home. I am happy I was able to go with my family to pick our tree because it was a wonderful time. I recently found out I will more than likely be working on Christmas, which was disappointing to find out. Luckily, they are doing short shifts, but it just sucks I will have to be away from my family on a day I have always spent with family.
Does anybody else have to work this holiday season? If so, how does that make you feel? Do you often have to work on the holidays or is this the first time? I feel for the people who always must work on the holidays it is hard being away from family on a day meant to be spent with them. For anybody who does not have a family to spend the holidays with or will not be able to make it to Christmas with the family I hope you still have a great holiday!
For anybody with the resources or time The Salvation Army is accepting donations for blankets, coats, gloves, and other items to help keep the homeless warm and safe with the cold nights that come with the holidays. We all must be reminded that Christmas is not just about receiving gifts but also giving especially to the people less fortunate than us who might just need an extra hand or to be shown even just that little bit of kindness. Roadhouse cinemas will also accept gift donations to give to families that might not be able to afford Christmas for their family this year and they deserve to have a great Christmas just as much as us. So, anybody with the resources and time to donate to the less fortunate would be appreciated.
I hope everyone has a great holiday!
