As the clock runs out

Not only have I gone to Harrison for all four years , I have been in district two my entire school life and it is unrealistic I will wearing my cap and gown in just 15 days. Everyone tells you “high school goes by fast, it will be over before you know it” and you never believe it until you are sitting in your last class as a senior. My four years had the highest highs and the lowest lows but looking back I would not change a single thing. A lot of people are scared of change but I don’t think many realize how much high school changes things. I am a completely different person than I was freshman year because of Harrison.

The people I am friends with now I have known since middle school and I know we will all go out separate ways but the memories we have made will always stay strong. I’ve made friends and connections I never thought I would and they are a main reason I loved school so much. I meet my best friend freshman year and can confidently say we will always be best friends. You can’t be scared of change in high school because it’s going to happen and when you look back you will realize.

If I could go back and change one thing , it would be to savor the moments more. Like football games , the talks at lunch , stories with teachers, group projects, even the crowded halls because there is no other experience like high school. All I wanted to do was leave and now it seems hard to leave. Although it might now seem like it now , savor the little things. Before you know it you’ll be in the same spot us class of 21 is.

I would not change anything and I am so grateful for everything high school has brought.

  1. Thank You so much for the advice the little things we do in high school are what are staying with us our whole lives like you said those football games, lunch talks, stories with teachers, and the group projects. You just helped me look at everything in a different way and appreciate it. I hope you the best days after you graduate and to always be safe!!

  2. Yes, its crazy to know how fast time flies. One day you’re nervous about starting High School and one day you’re you’re ready to graduate. This brought me flashbacks to freshman year when we would have good days at the football games. Those will always stay as something to always remember.
