Bailee Melo is a senior at Harrison High School. She is a straight A’s student. She is always up to challenges and new things. She loves volleyball as well. Her dream is to become a doctor. She is a great friend that is always their to help or give advice. She always has such an open mind and just makes everything seem like everything is perfect.

I had Bailee answer some questions and here are her answers:
Q: What is an accomplishment you are most proud of? Why?
A: An accomplishment that I am most proud of is getting 1.4 million dollars in scholarships while getting into 31 colleges at the same time. I never thought I could do that, so that was amazing to see!
Q: Where do you see your self in five years?
A: In five years, I see myself in my freshman year of medical school, with my degree in biology from college.
Q: What has been your biggest challenge? Why?
A: My biggest challenge would have to be AP Calculus. This class is a challenge, but it is fun.
Q: What is some thing that you will take with yourself about Harrison?
A: Something that I will take with myself from Harrison is to take and be indulged in those hard challenges because they teach you to step out of your comfort zone multiple times and it builds character.
Q: What has been your favorite part or thing about high school?
A: My favorite thing about Harrison is everything honestly! The environment is great, the staff members are great, my friends are great, etc. Especially joining sports because I came from a completely different district and I only knew my sister, dad, and Herf when I came here, but sports (more like volleyball) exposed me to a new family.
Q: What advice would you give to a junior that is about to become a senior?
A: A piece of advice I would give a junior is to take challenges senior year and I know that is not common, but it is so worth it, because even though everyone wants a free/relaxed last year, taking those challenges gives/teaches you so many life lessons. It teaches you to multi-task especially when you take hard classes.
Q: If you had three wishes what would they be? Why?
A: If I had three wishes, I would wish for unlimited wishes, maybe some super powers, and to become a doctor now, so I don’t have to go through the 8-10 years of schooling that it takes to be one.
Q: What is your biggest fear?
A: My biggest fear is spiders.
Q: Where would you go if you could travel anywhere in the world? Why?
A: I would travel to Italy, more specifically the Dolomites in Italy. Which is a beautiful mountain range.
Q: Who is someone you admire her look up to? Why?
A: Someone I look up to is my dad because he pushes me to do my best even at the hardest times and to achieve all that I want to achieve.
